And PRX isn't one-size-fits-all. We offer three different PRX treatment options, allowing Shelly to choose a treatment based on your skin, your concerns and what you're hoping to improve.

PRX Derm Perfexion

The Original | Refresh + Revitalize

PRX Derm Perfexion is the original PRX formulation and a great starting point for someone wanting to improve overall skin quality, hydration, firmness and texture without a more aggressive resurfacing treatment.

The formula combines 33% TCA (trichloroacetic acid), hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid in a patented formulation. While TCA may sound familiar if you've had a traditional chemical peel, PRX Derm Perfexion is designed to work differently. Rather than intentionally creating significant exfoliation and visible peeling of the outer skin, the formulation is designed to penetrate into the skin and stimulate a regenerative response while limiting damage to the epidermis.

This makes it an option for a wider range of skin types, including younger, delicate or sensitive skin.

Who may benefit?

PRX Derm Perfexion may be recommended for concerns such as:

• Early fine lines and signs of aging
• Loss of firmness or elasticity
• Dehydrated or lackluster skin
• Uneven pigmentation or dark spots
• Mild textural irregularities
• The appearance of mild acne scarring
• Delicate, sensitive or redness-prone skin

Your Treatment Series

4 treatments | 1 treatment per week for 4 weeks

PRX is intentionally performed as a series. Each treatment builds upon the previous treatment rather than relying on one aggressive appointment to create change.

Your series also includes one complimentary microneedling treatment, incorporated into one of your four appointments.

PRX PLUS

Advanced | Correct + Refine

PRX PLUS is our more advanced PRX option for skin showing greater levels of photoaging, pigmentation, texture changes and visible aging.

It uses a higher concentration of TCA (40%) alongside hydrogen peroxide and additional targeted ingredients. This formulation is intended for more established skin concerns and mature or visibly photodamaged skin.

Photoaging is different from simply getting older. It refers to the cumulative changes caused by years of UV exposure, things like uneven pigmentation, rougher texture, deeper wrinkles, loss of elasticity and visible sun damage.

Who may benefit?

PRX PLUS may be recommended for:

• Moderate to advanced photoaging
• Hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
• More established dark spots
• Deeper wrinkles and visible lines
• Mature skin
• Rough or uneven texture
• Enlarged or more noticeable pores
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
• Skin showing cumulative sun damage

In everyday terms: this is for the patient who thinks, “I'm seeing more than just a little dullness. I can see the years, sun exposure, pigmentation and texture changes, and I'm ready to work on them.”

Because these concerns are more established, the treatment plan is also different from Derm Perfexion.

Your Treatment Series

5 treatments | Approximately 2 weeks between treatments

This gives the skin time between appointments while the series progressively addresses more advanced concerns.

One of your five appointments also includes your complimentary microneedling treatment.

PRX C

Antioxidant Support | Restore + Re-Energize

PRX C takes a different approach. Instead of primarily targeting advanced aging or correction, it is designed for dull, stressed, fatigued and devitalized-looking skin.

Its formulation combines PRX technology with Vitamin C, an antioxidant that plays an important role in protecting the skin from oxidative stress and supporting a brighter, more even-looking complexion.

Oxidative stress happens when the skin is repeatedly exposed to environmental stressors that contribute to the formation of free radicals. UV exposure, pollution and everyday environmental factors can all contribute. Over time, this can show up as skin that looks dull, tired or less vibrant.

This is also why we talk about PRX C for our patients who spend long days indoors, work in front of computers, have demanding schedules or simply feel like their skin looks more exhausted than they actually feel.

Who may benefit?

PRX C may be recommended for:

• Dull or lackluster skin
• Fatigued or devitalized-looking skin
• Skin exposed to environmental stress
• Uneven-looking tone
• Loss of radiance or luminosity
• Early signs of aging
• Someone wanting antioxidant support as part of their skin-care plan
• The patient who feels like their skin simply needs to look alive again

In everyday terms: “I look tired even when I'm not. My skin just doesn't have the brightness or healthy glow it used to.”

So, How Is PRX Different From a Traditional Chemical Peel?

This is an important distinction, especially if you've had one of our traditional chemical peels before.

A traditional chemical peel primarily works through controlled exfoliation and resurfacing of the outer layers of the skin. Depending on the peel, this can be an excellent option for improving tone, texture, breakouts and surface-level concerns.

PRX is a different category of treatment.

Although PRX formulations contain familiar acids such as TCA, they are formulated to create biostimulation without relying on significant visible peeling or removal of the outer skin layer. Instead of simply asking, “What can we remove from the surface?” PRX allows us to take a more comprehensive approach to improving overall skin quality.

That doesn't make one treatment “better” than the other. They have different purposes. For some patients, a traditional peel may be exactly what their skin needs. For others, Shelly may recommend investing in a PRX series because of the concern we're trying to address and the type of skin response we're looking for.

And Yes, Microneedling Is Included.

This is an important part of how we've chosen to offer PRX at Tailored to You.

Every complete PRX series includes one complimentary microneedling treatment at no additional charge.

Microneedling uses very fine, sterile needles to create controlled microchannels within the skin. These controlled micro-injuries trigger the body's natural wound-healing response, which includes processes involved in collagen and elastin production and skin remodeling.

That makes microneedling particularly useful when we're working on concerns such as texture, fine lines and the appearance of acne scarring. By incorporating one microneedling treatment into your PRX series, we're combining two different approaches to skin rejuvenation within your overall treatment plan. Shelly will help determine which appointment in your series is most appropriate for incorporating your complimentary microneedling treatment.

And again, this is included in the cost of your series. It is not an additional treatment charge.

Series Pricing

Complete PRX treatment series start at $999. This is the starting price for your ENTIRE treatment series—not $999 per appointment. Depending on the PRX selected, your complete series includes four or five PRX treatments PLUS one complimentary microneedling treatment.
